Privacy policy
What we collect, why, who we share it with, and your rights. Last updated 20 October 2026.
Who we are
DepthChargeDesign Print Ltd, trading as Depth Charge Signs, Unit 1 Balmforth Business Park, Sawmill Lane, Helmsley, York, YO62 5DQ. Registered in England and Wales, company number 09618286. VAT number GB 295 7342 64. We are the controller of the personal information described here. Contact us about privacy at [email protected] or on 01439 771468.
What we collect
- Quote requests: the name, email, phone number and job details you send us. The quote form opens your own email app, so the request reaches us as an email.
- Online orders: your name, business name, email, phone, delivery address, the product you ordered and any notes.
- Payments: card payments are taken by Stripe on our Xero invoice page. We never see or store your full card details.
- Website visits: our hosting and security providers keep standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working.
Why we use it
- To quote for, make, deliver and fit your order, and to contact you about it (to perform our contract with you).
- To keep invoices and accounting records, which the law requires (legal obligation).
- To keep the website secure and prevent fraud and spam (our legitimate interests).
We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
- Xero, our accounting software, which creates and stores invoices.
- Stripe, which processes card payments.
- DHL, for delivery: your name, address and phone number only.
- Fasthosts (website hosting) and Cloudflare (website security and speed).
- Google Fonts, which supplies the typefaces on this site and receives your IP address when pages load.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Invoices and order records are kept for six years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as HMRC requires. Quote enquiries that do not become orders are deleted within two years.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies, and Stripe sets cookies on its payment page to prevent fraud.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict its use. Contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
